Ceramics
Each piece in the collection is made from earthenware, a type of ceramic known for its warmth, rich texture, and durability, perfect for everyday use with a refined, artisanal feel.
Every item is hand-painted by skilled artisans, adding yet another layer of uniqueness and character to the collection. No two brushstrokes are ever exactly alike.
What makes our ceramics unique is the use of reactive glazes. These glazes interact with the heat and atmosphere inside the kiln, meaning no two firings are ever exactly the same. Subtle shifts in temperature and airflow result in natural variations in colour and pattern, giving each piece a distinctive finish and story.
From soft earthy tones to deeper, more vibrant hues, the results are always beautifully unpredictable, adding a sense of individuality and charm to every item. Whether you're setting a table or styling a shelf, our ceramics bring thoughtful detail and understated elegance to your home.
Each piece is made in Portugal in small batches. As with everything at Aurane London, our ceramics reflect our commitment to quality, sustainability, and the enduring value of handmade design.
Hand Block
Wooden blocks hand-carved by Master Artisans of Sanganer in Jaipur, block-making is a painstaking process with results like no other. Every repeat perfectly matched, every colour tested numerous times and every layer printed in a perfect rhythm by block-printers. The texture of colours and alignments of layers is a sign of the hand-printed craftsmanship achieved after long hours, creating textiles that are unique and one of a kind.
Handloom Weaving
Manual precision meets the highest degree of craftsmanship in the traditional handloom weaving process, where each thread is manually set up on table looms and woven by master weavers in Jaipur, India. The rhythm of lifting and lowering of loom shafts moves in perfect sync with the muscle memory of the weavers - every handwoven textile, with its knots, slubs and textures is a testimony to hours of patience of this handcrafting process.
Natural Dyes
Dating back to 2600 BC, the practice of natural dyeing is almost as old as civilization. Derived from 100% natural sources and hand-dyed in small batches, the colour fastness of these dyes is unparalleled. Rooted in the traditional practices of creating textiles by hands, natural dyed products are the perfect choice for embracing a slower, more mindful lifestyle while making eco-conscious purchases.
